The Rebbe always said to follow the advice of a “Rofeh Yedid,” a doctor who is a friend. When people call our telephone hotline we always stress how important it is that they should consult with a “Rofeh Yedid.” If you have a medical problem, the first person you should consult with is your family doctor. If you do not have a suitable doctor, please contact us so we can give you a referral. Baruch Hashem we have established a wide network of excellent doctors—Doctors of Chesed—who are personally involved with Ahavas Chesed. Chesed means Kindness, and these wonderful doctors see our patients without regard for their ability to pay the full, customary fees. These specialists treat our patients with expertise and kindness. Over the years we have been able to assist many individuals to be seen by some of the best doctors around, and the difference has been tremendous. The success of this program has been because of the participation of these outstanding doctors.
